SECTIONAL SEATING: The seats courtside are for sponsors and people affiliated with the tournament. Over the past few years, we have seen our officials take up many of these seats.

I have been asked to remind our officials that those courtside seats are reserved and not for us unless you are invited by a sponsor. Our observing team and Section 5 playoff committee are permitted to be there.  No one else should be down on the floor.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Todd Kirkey

BANQUET: Please sign-up for the Board 60 banquet on our website, if you haven’t yet. It’s a fun time to connect and close out the season!

Contact Banquet Chair Mike Aeillo with any questions. Please share and encourage your fellow officials to attend this event at the Penfield Country Club on Monday, March 30. Cash bar at 5:30 p.m. Again, sign-up by March 9! See ya then.

TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS: As we wind our way through the semifinal rounds of this years’ tournament, I would like to take the time to congratulate those who are still working. I would also like to share a few reminders for the upcoming final round this weekend.

  • All 9 classifications will be played at the Blue Cross Arena. There will be 3 games on Friday, March 6; and 6 games on Saturday, March 7.
  • The Section V Assignment Committee will be meeting Thursday morning to assign the games. Assignments will be out on Arbiter sometime mid-morning on Thursday.
  • It is a requirement that all 3 officials communicate with each other and make sure the time of the game is discussed, along with the time you will be arriving at the Blue Cross Arena. Positive confirmation is a must from all 3. If someone does not respond, please contact me at once.
  • Only officials working games are to be in the locker room. The locker room is not a hangout for officials. Also, only the officials of the next game played, or the current game should be in the locker room. This will be strictly enforced by Section V.
  • You are not required to wear a sport coat and tie, however, please dress appropriately. Do not wear sweat suits, jeans, or hoodies. Please remember you are representing Board 60 and dress business casual.
  • I will not be at the Blue Cross this weekend. If you need assistance please see Jimmy Palermo, Sandy Swingle, Randy Traugott, or Ed Stores. I am still the contact for all closed dates and other issues through the end of the state tournament.

Best of luck to all,
Rich Frank, (585) 749-6360
