Board 60’s next Business Meeting is scheduled for Nov. 17 at Brighton High School. Be sure to review the list of meetings and our Policies and Procedures on the website. It is YOUR responsibility to attend meetings, review the policies and follow them to be an official in good standing and be able to officiate.

IAABO TEST: Be on the look out for an email from Randy regarding the test. The window to take the test will open on Monday, Nov. 10 and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16.

BLOCKED DATES: This is important. If you haven’t, go into Arbiter now and make sure you have closed out any dates.

SCRIMMAGES: Scrimmages will open soon with the practice window for winter sports starting on Monday, Nov. 17. DO NOT accept any scrimmage assignments that do not come from Board 60.

SECTIONALS: A reminder that Sectionals this year will start earlier than previous years. Games will kick off with the the first round of Class B and C on Saturday, Feb. 21. Remaining classifications will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 24 and Wednesday, Feb. 25. Sectional finals are March 2-7 with crossover and semifinal games all during that week, according to the linked scheduled.

JUNIOR VARSITY OFFICIALS: This is a reminder about your responsibilities. If you fail in these areas it will hurt your ability to become a varsity official and your assignments. By joining Board 60 you agree to follow the policies and procedures, including the following:

  • Be on time.
  • Dress Appropriately.
  • Stay for a half of the varsity game.
  • Pay attention to varsity officials, respectfully ask questions 
  • Leave a note card or piece of paper with your name, date, teams
  • Give the varsity officials at least one week to rate you. Feel free to follow with a respectful email requesting a rating
  • Remember that people talk — that can work for and against you.
