This contract is between DIOCESE OF ROCHESTER – CATHOLIC YOUTH ORGANIZATION (CYO) and the BOARD 60 serving all Parishes that fall under the Diocese of Rochester. This contract is effective November 1, 2025 and terminates on March 31, 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICIALS
- Officials must be certified by NYS officials’ association. Background Checked and Board Certified.
- Certified Officials for the purpose of this contract is defined as officials of Board 60.
- All candidates enrolled in and participating through Board 60 will complete the Basketball clinic for the 2025-26 season.
- Officials shall strive to have proficient knowledge of the rules and mechanics of each level of CYO basketball. The NFHS rules apply with the exceptions found in the rules and mechanics section found at www.dorcyo.org. Any additional changes outside the NFHS rules must be mutually agreed upon both parties of this contract.
- Officials shall conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the standards of the profession and have understanding that this is a Faith based organization.
- Officials shall be punctual and professional in the fulfillment of all contractual obligations and arrive on site assignment 15 minutes prior to the start of the contest.
- Officials are not responsible for security at any CYO Event. An appointed Parish Event Manager will be at each venue in charge of security & management.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICIALS’ ASSIGNOR
- Assignments will be done by the appointed assignor.
- Assignments will be provided to the CYO Coordinator of Sports no later than 14 days prior to the 1st schedule contest.
- The official’s assignor will assign Two (2) certified officials to every Basketball game in all levels excluding the 3/4 and 5/6 level. One (1) is acceptable.
COMPENSATION
- The Diocese of Rochester will compensate Board 60 assignor’s fee of $2.00 per game at the end of the season by March 31, 2026.
- Each official assigned to two person boys or girls game will be compensated $50.00 (grades 7-12)
- Any official working alone (solo) on any game will be compensated $60.00 (grades 3-6).
This agreement is exclusively designed for Board 60 and the Diocese of Rochester Catholic Youth Organization only.
