One of the nation’s best AAU tournaments is approaching, and Marlin Johnson is reaching out to see if any of you are interested.
The GymRat CHALLENGE will be held:
- Boys tournament: May 23–24 in Albany, NY
- Girls tournament: June 20–21 in Albany, NY (possibly at a few different venues)
The tournament assigner will be sending Marlin an email within the next week or so, which he will forward to those interested.
The difference between his assignments and Marlin’s is that he will offer blocks of games you can choose from (4, 5, or 6 games in a row). In contrast, I assign for the entire day (typically working two games, then sitting one).
Pay is still being negotiated, but it may be as high as $45 per game.
