As we kick off a new season, we’re reminding all eligible IAABO Board 60
members to rate the sub varsity officials. The following Q & A should help clarify
some things when it comes to the ratings.

Who is an eligible to rate?
Officials who have completed at least 2 years of
varsity or is a member in good standing who no longer referee are encouraged to
rate.

Why is it important to rate sub-varsity officials?
The overall number of ratings and score are important indicators of progress for
officials but also for the rating committee. The committee uses these totals from
the ratings to move officials to the next level.

How do I rate an official?
Located on the Board60 website is a tab, JV Eval Form. Click on the tab and it
will take you to the form. Find your official and fill in all the required bubbles. At
the bottom is a comment section. It is required to leave a comment. Please use
this space for constructive comments. Finally, click on your recommendation:
Clinic, Member or Varsity.

Remember, the rating of sub-varsity officials is part of our responsibility as a
varsity official. Feedback is very important and helpful to those looking to
progress in their career.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the rating process.
Good luck, stay healthy and have a great season!

Ratings coordinator
