Board 60 Summer Opportunities & Updates

Board 60 Members:

Here is a summary of summer leagues and camps to consider, all vary in times, rates, method of payment and more. Please reach out to the assignor for each league.  Remember, these are not official Board 60 sanctioned leagues.

We work these to get some floor time in and make extra money.  Each assignor has the right to use whomever they wish and may also have different procedures for handling changes. Here is the list:

Adrian gets weekly requests for new leagues so more opportunities may open up.  Thanks to all four of you guys for assigning these. Remember folks, these guys don’t get paid to assign. They do it for the betterment of our roster.

Also, the NCBO (Northern College Basketball Officials) summer camps have been announced. If you want to pursue officiating men’s college basketball this is a must.  HOWEVER, it’s not just for that.

This is a great chance to be seen by some of the state’s best officials who can help you with your three-person mechanics and we have had many officials take advantage of this in the past. It has worked out well for them!  Here are the dates:

SUNY OSWEGO: July 19 & 20.
RPI: July 26 & 27.

Each weekend is broken up into two sessions (Saturday and Sunday).

If anyone is interested and DOES NOT have the brochure reach out to me and I will get it to you. College officials, you have the brochure. It’s in your Refquest message box.  Don’t reach out to me unless for some reason you can’t access Refquest.

Lastly, we are starting an offseason newsletter! This is all inclusive. It doesn’t have to be basketball related for inclusion. We would love to hear about your milestones, special days (weddings, new babies, job promotions, etc).

It can also be for anyone who passed IAABO U,. got picked up to work college, etc. We will publish an update in July and August. It will also be on the website. Send all those notes to me at Tkirk2828@gmail.com.
