We have hundreds of ratings in on our Junior Varsity officials and hope to send out more comments by the end of this month. Some reminders for everyone:
JUNIOR VARSITY: Please remember to leave a card with your name and the location/date for the varsity officials. Also, be sure to stay for the first half of the varsity game. It’s a great way to learn, grow and make connections with fellow officials. When you don’t stay for the varsity game, it sends a signal that you don’t care about your rating. Some officials won’t rate you because of this, or they may rate you down further.
VARSITY OFFICIALS: Please continue to rate junior varsity officials. It is now easier than ever. We used to rate by paper and mail it in but now you can complete an evaluation from your phone at your game. Also important, BE PROFESSIONAL and be sure to provide context. We are in a teaching/coaching posture. If a JV official should not be on the court, contact an officer or let Adrian Tyndale know as soon as possible. Don’t rate down because someone doesn’t stay. Also, be sure to rate if they leave early just check the box on the form if they don’t stay.
