Judgement
Official sees the play through; understands legal vs. illegal contact; recognizes advantage & disadvantage; understands consistency of calls; understands and officiates the points of emphasis.
Mechanics
Official maintains good lanes of vision; has good positioning as lead & trail official as well as press coverage; closes down as lead & trail official; voice & whistle are strong; uses approved IAABO HS mechanics when calling and reporting fouls and violations.
Game Management
Ability of official to manage game based on the following – Time outs (TO), Team Fouls (TF), Personal Fouls (PF), Possession Arrow (AP), Coaches, Players, Bench decorum and shot and game clocks.
